A message from Triangle’s National President
Brothers,
As the new National President, I have given a lot of thought to what I would like Triangle Fraternity to accomplish over the next year. We, including you, me, and all of our active and alumni members, need to stress four main ideas – continued growth, emphasizing scholarship, stressing life safety issues in our active chapters, and increased alumni involvement.
Each quarter I will be sending an open letter to our membership focusing on one of the four areas. This quarter my letter focuses on continued growth and provides some observations from our active organizations that are excelling in this area. I look forward to your continued support of Triangle Fraternity.

National Hazing Prevention Week: Sept 21-25, 2009
Active & Alumni Presidents,
September 21-25 is recognized as National Hazing Prevention Week. Triangle Fraternity has a zero tolerance for hazing and we support year-round education on this matter. With a nationally recognized week ahead, I strongly encourage your Active & Alumni Organizations to participate in chapter-sponsored events and/or campus events. Within the chapter, Actives and Alumni can engage in a dialogue about hazing and review Triangle Regulation 3.6, the National Risk Management Policy. Actives and Alumni can also review the attached “Activity Guidelines” document which can lead to healthy discussion about the pitfalls of hazing. Additionally, if your campus is hosting any Hazing Prevention Week activities I strongly encourage Actives and Alumni to attend those events. Check with your campus fraternity/sorority advisor for details.
Finally, I remind all Active Presidents to review, sign, and submit Form AH: the Anti-Hazing Certificate. This document must be completed at the start of each academic term (fall, winter, spring). You can find the document linked below.
As always, please feel free to contact the staff at the National Headquarters if you need any assistance. Thanks for your support of National Hazing Prevention Week.
Interfraternally,
Brian
